On behalf of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, I welcome
the participants, guests and organizers of the 5th International Conference on Information
Security «Infoforum-Ugra».
In modern conditions, it is especially important to pay increased attention to
information security issues. Digital transformation has made it necessary to work with
large amounts of data of various types, including personal data, in various areas of our
lives. Therefore, national and international conferences on information security are
regularly held for the 5th time in a row as part of the Infoforum event, which emphasizes
the relevance and significance of the issues discussed.
Moreover, the need for international cooperation on information security issues is
immense in order to counter global, worldwide challenges, such as the threat to data
safety, ensuring national technological sovereignty, combating cyber threats and hacker
attacks, fake news, etc.
I am glad to welcome leading experts and representatives of the public and
educational sectors, who have gathered within the framework of the international
platform to discuss the most important issues in this area. The conference is designed
to identify current challenges in the digital world, determine the mechanisms for the
formation of international platforms for responding to cyber threats, discuss problems
and identify possible solutions.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation supports the organization
of the 5th International Conference on Information Security «Infoforum-Ugra» and wishes
all participants and organizers fruitful work.
I hope that the presentations will be not only interesting, but also relevant in terms of
practical implementation.
