On behalf of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, I welcome the
participants and guests of the 5th International Conference on Information Security
«Infoforum-Ugra», including representatives of the BRICS, SCO and CSTO countries.
The conference, organized by the National Information Security Forum «Infoforum»
with the support of the Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the
Russian Federation on Security and Anti-Corruption, the Office of the Security Council of
the Russian Federation and the Government of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug,
is an authoritative international event where experts in the field of information security
can exchange experience, as well as discuss the most pressing current problems.
The forum is taking place against the backdrop of the introduction of economic
sanctions against the Russian Federation, which have created a tense situation in the
economy and public life around the world.
Currently, there is an explosive growth in the number of computer attacks on the
infrastructure of the Russian Federation, posing a threat to society, the economy and
state sovereignty due to high interdependence with the digital world. Protecting the
privacy of citizens and the national interests of the country and ensuring the sustainable
development of society require solving a wide range of tasks in the field of information
security.
This is only possible through the combined efforts of state authorities, representatives
of the business community, scientific and expert organizations, as well as civil society.
The forum is an example of such fruitful cooperation, a platform for joint discussion
and decision-making in the development and creation of methods and ways to protect
IT technologies. We also welcome the involvement of representatives of foreign states
and international organizations in the work of the event, sincerely wishing for stable and
equal development of information space.
I express my confidence that this forum will make a constructive contribution to
ensuring the national security of the Russian Federation in the information sphere, as
well as to strengthening international stability throughout the world.
I wish the participants of Infoforum-Ugra fruitful work and practical results aimed at
strengthening information security!
